Patrick Monahan failed to make it to the semi-finals of ITV’s diving series, Splash, but Teesside comedian made a good account of himself on the show.
The judges were certainly impressed. Andy Banks and Leon Taylor both gave Pat 7.5 points, with Taylor saying: “‘You are completely bonkers but that was a hard dive.”
And in a moment of comedy camaraderie, Jo Brand gave him an 8.
“As a comedian I was expecting something hilarious and it was hilarious,” she said. “But it was also brave and I appreciated that.”
