The Comedy Store’s barnstorming stand-up nights return to the Gala Theatre in Durham on Monday – and we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away.

The Comedy Store, originally founded by Don Ward in 1979, is a popular fixture in the region’s comedy circuit, hosting the best in British comedy along with up-and-coming talent.

The May Bank Holiday line-up includes Chris McCausland, who you might recognise from the recent Barclays adverts, Toby Hadoke, Simon Bligh and a star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow who we’re not allowed to reveal.

The last few tickets for the show are available to buy via the Gala website, or you might like to answer this question to potentially win a pair:

In what year was The Comedy Store founded?

You’ll need to email your answer to [email protected] by 5pm on Saturday 3 May along with your name and telephone number (mobile preferable).

The winner will be contacted within 24 hours of the closing time. If we cannot contact the winner, or if the winner can no longer attend, we will reselect a winner from the list of entrants.

Please only enter if you are able to attend the show.

If you’re not lucky enough to win our competition, Giggle Beats readers can get tickets for just £8 (normally £11) if you quote “LOL8” when booking.
