Welcome to Vic & Bob’s House of Fools
BBC Two have ordered six, half-hour episodes of Vic & Bob’s House of Fools, set for transmission in 2014.
The studio audience sitcom, which piloted in March, is set in Bob’s grubby flat which he unwillingly shares with Vic – and a constant stream of unwanted visitors.
“Lady-obsessed lothario” Beef (Matt Berry), Geordie ex-con Bosh (Dan Skinner), Erik (Daniel Simonsen), Bob’s sulky son all join Vic and Bob in the house – and lurking next door is man-eater Julie (Morgana Robinson).
Vic and Bob siad: “We’re back where we belong and over the moon about making a series of House Of Fools for the BBC”.
Shane Allen, BBC’s comedy commissioner, said: “Vic and Bob are the daddies of daft comedy and it’s a total joy to watch two men in their 50s goof about so gloriously. I’m extremely proud to bring them back to the BBC in this hilarious reincarnation.
Janice Hadlow, Controller, BBC Two, said: “I’m delighted to be welcoming Vic and Bob back to BBC Two, bringing their unique blend of energy and brilliant comedy to the channel.”
House Of Fools is being made in-house by the BBC in association with Pett Productions, the production company founded by Reeves, Mortimer and Lisa Clark.
