Vic and Bob nominated in Writers’ Guild Awards

Vic and Bob are amongst the nominees in this year’s Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards.

The duo are have been shortlisted for best TV sitcom for their BBC Two series, House Of Fools. Jessica Hynes’ Up The Women, and Stefan Golaszewski’s Him and Her are also up for the award.

The radio comedy shortlist includes Helen Keen and Miriam Underhill for It Is Rocket Science, Marcus Brigstoke’s The Brig Society, and John Finnemore for his Souvenir Programme.

Elsewhere, Steve Coogan has been nominated for his film script for Philomena with co-writer Jeff Pope, and an episode of animated CBBC comedy Strange Hill High has been shortlisted for best children’s TV script.

House of Fools returns to BBC Two at 10pm on Sunday 28 December.
