Radio 4 order a second series of Tom Wrigglesworth’s Hang-Ups
Radio 4 have ordered a second series of Tom Wrigglesworth’s Hang-Ups.
In an interview to be published on Giggle Beats tomorrow, the Sheffield-born comedian confirmed that he is writing a new series of Hang-Ups, in which we listen to Wrigglesworth’s weekly ‘check-in’ phone call to his parents.
In the interview, Wrigglesworth was asked whether he was returning to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, to which he responded: “No, I’m not. I took a break from Edinburgh to be on TV documentaries, going back to the engineering side of things.
“Now I’m going to be touring until about May, then I’m going to New Zealand, then I’ve got a second series of Hang-Ups – and they take ages to write. I couldn’t possibly do Edinburgh this year.”
Series one of Hang-Ups, co-written by Wrigglesworth, James Kettle and Miles Jupp, aired on Radio 4 in November.
