The nation’s favourite toilet joke
Bec Hill has been crowned the winner of the nation’s favourite toilet joke on World Toilet Day.
Hill beat off stiff competition from rival comics including Milton Jones, Lucy Porter, Arthur Smith, Helen Lederer, Paul Foot, John Cooper-Clarke and Alex Horne – for her joke: “For Christmas last year I got given Sudoku toilet paper. It’s useless. You can only fill it in with number ones and number twos.”
Comedian Matt Forde came a close second with his gag: “Did you hear about the film Constipated? It never came out.”
John Cooper-Clarke finished third.
The national competition, ran by WaterAid, saw the public vote for their favourite toilet jokes online, with 15 comedians battling it out over 15 days to be crowned the ultimate wee one-liner and bag the coveted prize of a golden loo seat.
Hill’s Sudoku gag also appeared in Dave’s Joke Of The Fringe contest earlier this year.
