Steffen Peddie’s Chat Show Thing is moving in 2014.

The show, in which Hebburn actor Peddie chats to guests about their careers, has been running at The Stand in Newcastle every first Monday for the past 12 months.

But in the latest programme shake-up by The Stand, Chat Show Thing will move to the last Sunday of the month at 7pm, starting on 26 January.

Speaking to Giggle Beats last year, Peddie said the chat show was something he’d wanted to do for the past 15 years.

“It’s a live chat show, but with no cameras and no restrictions,” he explained.

“It’s basically about getting the audience to pull up a chair and listen to the backstage chat that audiences don’t normally get to hear.

“If you come along you’ll have a chance to put questions to the guests yourself, and you might even win a prize from the Table of Tat.”

Previous Chat Show Thing guests include Sarah Millican, former Viz editors Simon Donald and Alex Collier, and The Futureheads.

Hebburn stars Chris Ramsey, Jason Cook, Neil Grainger and Pat Dunn have also made appearances in the past 12 months.

Steffen Peddie’s Chat Show Thing returns to The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on Sunday 26 January at 7pm. Tickets are now £5, or £2 for concessions. Click to buy.
