After a cracking 2014, Manchester’s Funtime Comedy are kicking off 2015 with a bang.

The comedy club, ran by comic Chris Tavner, returns to the Strawberry Gardens in Droylsden on Thursday 29 January with another belting line-up. And best of all, it’s free.

Headlining the show will be character comedian Danny Pensive, who you might recognise as the tour support for One Man Star Wars and Milton Jones. Danny also has two Edinburgh Fringe shows to his name; Danny Pensive’s Map of Britain and Around the World in 80 Haways.

Support on the night comes from 2013 BBC New Comedy Award winner Steve Bugeja, with local acts Harry Stachini and Clayton Jones completing the bill.

Upcoming line-ups (all 8.30pm start, free entry):

  • Thursday 26 February – Host Chris Tavner presents Tanyalee Davis, Kieran Lawless plus support.
  • Thursday 26 March: Birthday show, feat. Chris Tavner, Daliso Chaponda presents Nick Cranston, and Lou Conran.
