Comedy-horror podcast screams into the UK
New York-based comedy-horror podcast Last Podcast on the Left is to visit Salford as part of its UK tour.
The blackly funny podcast embarks on its first-ever international tour next year, arriving in the UK in March for a week-long series of dates.
The live show will land in Salford’s Lowry Quays Theatre on 26 March 2015, barreling headlong into the sort of dark and desolate topics regularly tackled on the podcast, from slashers and demons to cults and serial killers.
Hosts Henry Zebrowski, of Adult Swim’s Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, and Wolf of Wall Street fame, Ben Kissel of Roundtable of Gentlemen, and Marcus Parks will take to the stage to poke fun and recoil in disgust at the freakiest aspects of England, Wales and Scotland, incorporating found footage, film clips and audio into their live commentary.
Each performance will include stand-up by Kissel, character comedy from Zebrowski, and Parks’ fastidious research of U.K. folklore, as each destination becomes its own episode of Last Podcast on the Left.
The podcast, in which the trio of hosts explore the horrors of the world both imagined and real, airs weekly on Cave Comedy Radio, Long Island’s own underground comedy station. So far in its two-year run, the popular podcast has logged over 150 episodes.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 12 December, and are available online via Gigs and Tours.
