Sketch groups raise cash for earthquake victims
Two North East sketch groups are hoping to raise cash for victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal this month, at Middlesbrough’s silliest alternative comedy night.
Teesside sketch groups Cheap Craic and Heavy Petting will put on another barking mad night of new material on Saturday 20 June, backed two up-and-coming alternative comics, with all proceeds on the door going to charity.
Heavy Petting will bring their homemade props and catchy musical numbers, while Cheap Craic take on celebrity culture with the help of some made-up sponsors. In the middle of this sketchy sandwich, Joby Mageean and Joe McLachlan providing the stand-up filling.
Tickets are £4, with a raffle of various hilarious items aiming to bump up the cash. All money raised will go to aiding charities dedicated to helping people in Nepal rebuild their homes and communities.
