North East comics play for presents at Tyne Theatre
Several North East comics are to host a charity event to benefit local children.
Comedians such as Jason Cook and Chris Ramsey will play Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Saturday 19 December for Laffs4Kids, a charity event in aid of Cash for Kids.
Laffs4Kids aims to make sure that the 40,000 children across the North East living in poverty receive a present on Christmas day. In place of a normal admission price, audience members are asked to simply bring along an unwrapped present to donate to the charity. A £1 charge will apply in order to book a seat.
Ramsey and Cook will be joined by Billy Mitchell, Steffen Peddie, Alfie Joey, and Mickey Hutton, with more to be announced.
