Newcastle’s Broken Mic Comedy are taking up residency at The Hancock pub – with a stand-up storytelling night.

Inspired by, and dedicated to, our little passions in life, each comedian will perform a set about something or someone that they heartily adore.

The first show, on Monday 31 March, features Ben Crompton (Ideal, Pramface, Game of Thrones), Matt Reed, Stephen ‘Friz’ Frizzle, Luke Milford, Cal Halbert, and resident compere Si Beckwith.

Organiser Beckwith said: “I’m really looking forward to this. I’m so excited to be part of this show, and I’m looking forward to seeing some of my favourite acts talking about quite niche things that they are really passionate about.

“I wanted a show that would grab my interest, and where every show was something unique and special.”

James McGeary, manager of The Hancock, said: “We’re really excited for this – it’s something we feel is a perfect fit for our venue and a show which will be a real monthly event.”

Entry is £4, or £3 for students/advance tickets.

The show starts at 8.30pm.
