Mark Thomas is to take his new theatre piece, Cuckooed, on a UK tour later this month.

Following a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run, the comedy statesman is embarking on his 8th nationwide tour with a comedy of betrayal.

Cuckooed tells the true story of how Britain’s biggest arms manufacturer, BAE Systems, came to spy on a comedian in this multi-award winning tale of hubris, planes, demos and undercover deceit.

The show has already bagged a Scotsman Fringe First award, as well as the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression award.

Best known for his six-series long Channel 4 programme The Mark Thomas Comedy Product, Thomas has also published three books and a manifesto, had various series commissioned by Radio 4, been a regular contributor to The New Statesman.

He’s also won numerous awards, holds a Guinness World Record, investigated everything from Coca-Cola to inheritance tax avoidance in various TV documentaries, given evidence to Parliamentary Select Committees and stopped multinational infrastructure deals.
