Lost Voice Guy to perform debut Edinburgh Fringe show this summer
Lee Ridley, a.k.a. “Lost Voice Guy”, will be performing his first solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.
The Geordie comedian, who performs using a iPad on stage, confirmed to Giggle Beats’ Ian Wolf that he would indeed be doing a show in Edinburgh for the first time.
His show, Voice Of Choice, will be at The Stand Comedy Club.
Ridley, who only began performing last year, has seen his comedy career rise quickly.
Other than his package show Fringe performances last year, he has also performed as a warm-up act to Ross Noble, and is currently nominated in the Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.
His show, Voice of Choice, is up for the “Best New Show” award. The winner is announced on Monday 11 March.
Ridley said: “Considering the Leicester Comedy Festival gig was also the first time I’d performed an hour long show, I was pretty surprised when I received the news about my nomination!
“If I’m honest, it was a lovely gig with a lovely crowd and I enjoyed it very much….even if it did tire me out a bit.”
As Giggle Beats revealed last month Ridley is also one of several comedians raising funds for Comic Relief this year.
On Sunday 10 March “Lost Voice Guy” will becoming “Lost Voice Girl”, raising money for Comic Relief by cross-dressing at his Newcastle Stand gig that night.
He said: “As if I didn’t look weird enough already, I’ll be dressing up as a lady and putting on my best woman’s voice to perform as Lost Voice Girl…”
