Bob Mortimer has confirmed the air date for BBC2’s new studio sitcom, House of Fools.

The six-part series, written by Mortimer and Vic Reeves, will debut on Tuesday 14 January at 10pm – the same time-slot occupied by Hebburn during its series two run.

Bob Mortimer confirmed the news on Twitter as he plugged the first official trailer.

Set in Bob Mortimer’s home, House of Fools sees Bob frustrated by uninvited lodgers who disrupt his house, including long-term unwanted guest Vic (Jim Moir), next door neighbour Julie (Morgana Robinson), lady-obsessed lothario Beef (Matt Berry), and Bosh (Dan Skinner), Vic’s ex-con brother.
