Cast members of the BBC2 sitcom Hebburn will appear at a Christmas show in Barnard Castle this weekend.

Comedians Neil Grainger (Gervaise) and Steffen Peddie, who has a minor role in the series as Big Keith, will perform at The Witham on Saturday 14 December as part of Funny Way To Be’s final show of the year.

And Seymour Mace, who appeared in episodes four and five of the second series, has also been announced today.

Hebburn creator Jason Cook was due to appear, but has now cancelled due to illness.

Rob Rouse will now headline the show.

Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be, said: “We are of course very sorry that Jason will not be able to join us on Saturday; we’ve spoken to him and he is extremely disappointed to make the night.

“We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him again in 2014.

“His friends have really rallied round though and we have put together a fantastic line-up.  With three members of the Hebburn cast and headliner Rob Rouse we are still in for a top class evening of comedy.”

Andy Fury and former Giggle Beats New Act of the Month Natalie Wicks will also appear.

Rob Rouse, Steffen Peddie, Neil Grainger, Andy Fury, Natalie Wicks and Seymour Mace are at The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Saturday 14 December. Tickets are £12, and available from the Funny Way To Be website.
