Giggle Beats sponsors Split Parade…
Giggle Beats are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Split Festival’s sister event, Split Parade.
Continuing our commitment to the local arts scene, Giggle Beats will help curate a series of showcase events in Sunderland on Saturday 15th September, presenting the hottest talents in North East comedy, music and performance.
Split Parade begins at The Place at 5pm, where local arts representatives will be invited to enjoy an afternoon of comedy from stand-up Steffen Peddie (BBC2’s Hebburn), followed by an acoustic sing-along with The Futureheads’ Barry Hyde.
Then, after the cabaret opening event, Sunderland’s musicians collective will lead guests from The Place to the wealth of musical talent waiting across the city on Holmeside. An after-party will follow at Independent, taking the celebrations into the early hours.
Speaking about the announcement, Giggle Beats editor Andrew Dipper said: “To be asked to help curate the line-up for this year’s Split Parade is such an honour for us.
“The arts scene in the North East is so vibrant that it deserves a night like this; a big song and dance to help celebrate all the fantastic talent we have here in the region.”
Split Parade organiser Emma Howe added: “We’re very excited to once again be bringing Split Parade to the streets of Sunderland.
“Last year’s show was such a fantastic event, and this year is going to be even bigger.”
Split Parade takes place on Saturday 15th September, showcasing the hottest talents in North East comedy, music and performance. More information, including the full line-up, is available on Facebook. You can also follow Split Parade on Twitter: @SplitParade.
