Ellie Taylor embarks on first UK stand-up tour
Ellie Taylor is to embark on her first tour, following her Edinburgh Fringe debut last summer.
The star of Snog Marry Avoid, Fake Reaction and 8 Out of 10 Cats will take her latest Fringe show Elliementary on the road for 14 dates, beginning in February.
In Elliementary, Taylor takes on the hottest of our age’s hot potatoes, including Russian foreign policy, Matalan, Cheryl Versini-Fernandez-Cole’s bum. Though the show’s title may a passion for all things Arthur Conan Doyle, unfortunately, Taylor has no such passion. She does, however, enjoy puns and sporting moustaches in promotional materials.
Elliementary picked up a series of four and five star reviews throughout its Fringe run, with Metro describing it as “frequently hilarious” and Stylist tipping Ellie as a “rising star to catch this year”.
Taylor made her comedy debut in 2010 on ITV’s Show Me The Funny. Already boasting an impressive list of TV credits, including BBC Two’s Family Tree alongside Christopher Guest and Chris O’Dowd, Taylor is currently working on Comedy Central’s new sitcom Brotherhood, and will soon be seen in Channel 4’s online comedy series Taxi Gags.
