Ramsey lands BBC Three show…
Hebburn star Chris Ramsey has landed another big television role. This time, it’s his own show on BBC Three.
Chris Ramsey’s Comedy Fringe, an Edinburgh Festival best-of programme, debuted in the 11.30pm timeslot last night, with Hannibal Buress, Carl Donnelly, Celia Pacquola and Paul Foot all appearing on the show. A further three episodes have been filmed for release over the coming weeks.
Speaking about the show, Ramsey said: “If you didn’t make it to the Fringe, or did but couldn’t catch all of the acts you wanted to – there are thousands after all – my very own TV show showcases some of the best acts at the Fringe. Series link that bad boy.”
Ramsey also announced this morning that he will be appearing on Mock The Week for the first time next Thursday 13th September, as well as recording more episodes of ITV2’s Celebrity Juice.
It’s a big year for the South Shields stand-up, with his nationwide tour beginning next week and BBC2 sitcom Hebburn also debuting on Thursday 18th October.
But despite an abundance of TV appearances this autumn, Ramsey added: “I love that you like to watch me in things on TV, but please do come and see me live.
“That’s where the real unedited fun and mayhem happens.”
Details of Chris Ramsey’s autumn tour can be found on his website: chrisramseycomedy.com. Hebburn airs on Thursday 18th October, with the dial set to BBC2.
