Bill Hicks Ultimate box set to be released in November

A new box set of Bill Hicks’ classic shows is to be released in November.

Ultimate, a three DVD collection including four of Hicks’ most iconic performances and a documentary on his life, will hit shelves on 9 November 2015.

The collection includes a selection of Hicks’ recorded performances throughout his career, beginning with 1989’s One Night Stand, the comic’s infamous set originally performed for HBO, and Sane Man, Hicks’s first full-length comedy special.

It also features 1992’s Relentless, recorded at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and Revelations from 1993. Revelations was the last special Hicks ever recorded, filmed at his sell out show at London’s Dominion Theatre.

Rounding off the box set is It’s Just a Ride, a documentary outlining Hicks’ life and career until his death in 1994 at the age of 32, featuring interviews with Jay Leno, David Letterman and Eddie Izzard, along with intimate memoirs from Hicks’s friends and family.
