The BBC is to pilot Phil Ellis’ award-winning Edinburgh Fringe show, Funz and Gamez.

The Panel Prize-winning kids’ show will recorded at MediaCity UK in Salford on Wednesday 25 March 2015, with a view to airing the show on BBC Three.

Funz and Gamez was the sleeper hit of the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe, winning the prestigious Panel Prize for its boundary-pushing family comedy. The live show stars Ellis, Mick Ferry, Will Duggan, Tom Short and James Meehan of Gein’s Family Giftshop.

Speaking back in August, Ellis said: “It was quite a hard journey because no one wanted to touch [Funz and Gamez] with a shitty stick. No producers liked the idea, but it’s worked.”

The BBC is looking for families of four with children aged between 9 and 14 to be in the audience for the recording. If you fit the bill, and would like to see the show, email [email protected].
