BANG BANG! Wrestler Mick Foley announces November stand-up tour.
Wrestler Mick Foley has announced a four date stand-up tour of England, performing at venues in Newcastle, Manchester, Nottingham and London.
The former WWE Champion and New York Times best-selling author, who began comedy in 2009 at the Improv in Los Angeles and has since been doing stand-up across America, will begin his mini-tour of the UK on Wednesday 9th November at The Dancehouse Theatre in Manchester, followed by sets at The Glee Club in Nottingham, The Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle, and finally concluding at Leicester Square Theatre, London on Saturday 12th.
Speaking about the tour, Foley told GiggleBeats: “I am enormously excited and relieved about my upcoming comedy tour. Excited about the prospect of telling stories, hearing laughter and fielding questions from some of my most loyal and dedicated fans. Relieved that I finally have a real answer to the one of the two questions I’m most frequently asked: when are you coming back to the UK? As far as that other question, about returning to WWE, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”
Newcastle comedian Steffen Peddie, a former wrestler himself, will support Foley at his Journal Tyne Theatre show on Friday 11th November 2011.
Tickets for all shows (excluding London, of course) are priced at £17.50 and available from individual venues. Further information on the tour can be found on the official Facebook page and, coming soon, on Mick Foley’s tour website.
