Ant and Dec planning a silent comedy show
Ant and Dec are planning a silent comedy show – according to The Sun newspaper.
The North East duo, both from Newcastle Upon Tyne, are said to be producing a new TV show that will involve “some slapstick”, however it “won’t just be full of physical gags.”
Work has already begun on a script, with filming set to begin later this year.
It is not yet known whether the show will air on ITV, as Ant and Dec’s contract with the broadcaster is up at the end of the year.
Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly met on the set of children’s TV programme Byker Grove.
After fleeting acting appearances, they launched a pop career as PJ and Duncan – the names of the characters on Byker Grove – before eventually becoming a staple of ITV’s Saturday night telly guide hosting Britain’s Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway.
They are also responsible for the hilariously bad 2002 World Cup song, ‘We’re On The Ball’.
