Ho Ho Ho! It’s coming up to the festive season again, and with that brings a raft of Christmas gigs in December throughout the UK. Should any of you Giggle Beats readers be making the trip down to the city’s capital (perhaps for the annual visit to Harrods) then why not coincide it with Time Out’s Christmas Cracker Live at the Lyric Theatre in London’s fashionable West End, hosted by Jarred Christmas and featuring a veritable feast of the top British comics working the circuit today.

For £20 (£15 concs) you will be gifted with world class comedians including Seann Walsh, who recently starred in Comedy Central’s Grouchy Young Men; BBC4’s We Need Answers presenter and comedy poet Tim Key; Rufus Hound from Dave’s Argumental and ITV2’s Celebrity Juice; star of Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo Milton Jones and Stephen K Amos, fresh from presenting his self titled BBC2 stand up and sketch show. All this hosted by the face of Pot Noodle, Jarred Christmas, and you’ve got yourself a marvellous mix of Monday night Christmas Comedy.

It is indeed the season to be jolly if you’re around London on December the 6th, but if like me you’re firmly rooted in the North East during the holiday period and would still like to experience some festive cheer from comedians on this superb roster then here are some important dates for you to stick next to your advent calendar:

Milton Jones will be performing his solo tour ‘Lion Whisperer’ at the Stockton Arc on Saturday 19th February, details can be found here.

Stephen K Amos will be performing his solo tour ‘The Best Medicine’ at the Newcastle City Hall on Wednesday 16th March (details here), Middlesbrough Town Hall on the Tuesday 8th of February and Hartlepool Borough Hall on the Thursday 3rd March (details for H’pool and ‘Boro here).

Why not kick off your month of festive fun in London on December 6th with an evening of fine comedy, with all the trimmings.
