Preview: The Durham Revue Comedy Fest 2011 – Durham Gala Theatre
This Monday, March 14th, the Gala Theatre will be hosting a night of comedy from the Durham Revue, a comedy sketch group from Durham University compiled of six students doing a 50 minute show.
The Revue have been going since the 1950s and have been regulars of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival every year since 1979; they’ve also won the National Best Comedy Award 2009 and the Underbelly Sketch-off in 2008 and 2009.
Joining the Durham Revue at the Gala Theatre is the internationally-renowned Cambridge Footlights, where the likes of Laurie and Fry started out, and the Oxford Revue.
Tickets to see the Durham Revue are priced at £10 (£8 for students) and the show starts at 8pm. Further information can be found on the Gala’s website here.
