Ray Peacock & Ed Gamble

After a cracking Christmas show, Trapdoor Comedy returns to the Black Swan, York, on Tuesday with two of their favourite comedians working at the moment: Ray Peacock and Ed Gamble.

You might know them from their outstanding podcasts (The Peacock & Gamble Podcast and The Ray Peacock Podcast – the former available on iTunes), support slots for comedians like Russell Kane and Greg Davies, or their various appearances on Russell Howard’s Good News.

Headliner Ray Peacock is a popular act throughout the country and an accomplished actor too, having ‘plied his trade’ on shows like Doctor Who, Skins and Harry Hill’s TV Burp. While opener Ed Gamble travels to York having spent the past year supporting the likes of Russell Kane and Greg Davies on tour.

We reviewed Peacock & Gamble’s show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2011, and thought it was “an hour of daft, anti-comedy stuff from a cracking double-act. This pair of clowns have great chemistry: Peacock, the self-indulgent child, and Gamble, the voice of reason. They can be hard work, but they’re great fun.”

So, if you want to see them do their funny stuff in York on Tuesday 17th January, you can get your tickets here. They’re only £5, too, which we think is a bargain.
