Giggle Beats to sponsor charity compilation album.
GiggleBeats.co.uk are delighted to announce we will be sponsoring The Christmas Project, a compilation album produced by North East bands to help raise money for Operation Christmas Child, a charity dedicated to sending gift-filled shoeboxes to disadvantaged children around the world.
Featuring twelve of the North East’s most promising artists (including The Railway Club, The Union Choir, Natasha Haws and The Lake Poets), the CD, which will cost £5.00, is due to be released on 8th December 2011. All proceeds go to charity.
Paul Barber, organiser of The Christmas Project, said: “Christmas seems to bring out the best in people. Raising money for those less fortunate than ourselves is a great way to give something back.”
The album will officially be launched at Independent (Holmeside, Sunderland) on Thursday 8th December 2011. Performers include Hollywood and Vines, Gallery Circus and The Union Choir. The event is free and starts at 8pm.
You can purchase The Christmas Project from Bandcamp, as well as other outlets. For further details, visit their Facebook page here. You can also follow The Christmas Project on Twitter: @TheChristmasCD
