Chris O’Dowd’s Sky1 comedy Moone Boy has been recommissioned for a third series. Speaking about the semi-autobiographical show, O’Dowd said: “All of the experiences are ones that I had. The show is slightly more surreal and more comedic than my life, though.”

After having a fiddle with the Comic Relief edition of The Beano, Harry Hill has redesigned ‘Gromit’ from Wallace and Gromit. He’s now bald too.

Speaking of Hill, he took one hell of a tumble at his Sausage Time show in Newcastle last Saturday, falling off the stage and in to the front row. Shame no-one had a camera…

Jongleurs, founder Maria Kempinska has decided to give stand-up a go. She tweeted: “What am I doing?? Who wants to hear me? Are they mad?”

Sarah Millican has added a fourth date to her mini-run at Middlesbrough Town Hall. That takes Millican’s tour dates in the North East up to 15 – including eight nights at the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle. Details.

The team behind Horrible Histories are producing a family comedy show called Yonderland. The show, due to air on Sky1, will mix live action with puppetry sequences. Exciting.

Meanwhile, Sky Atlantic has commissioned six episodes of Mr Sloane, a new rom-com about a man driven to attempt suicide when his marriage breaks down. Uhm.

Across the pond, HBO has ordered a full series for the American remake of Jo Brand’s sitcom, Getting On.

And in return, they’re sending Louie to Fox. Season two of Louis CK’s sitcom will air from 16 April.

21 comedians, including Patrick Monahan and Silky, will walk Hadrian’s Wall for charity this month. Read.

CBBC has ordered a topical comedy series by David Quantick, involving “a cast of larger-than-life news anchors and correspondents’ who ‘will put their own unique spin on topical stories through irreverent sketches, hilarious archive clips as well as plenty of silly physical comedy.’” Former Viz co-editor Alex Collier is also on the writing team.

Dylan Moran and Daniel Kitson front this year’s star-studded Latitude Festival line-up. Kitson will bring six performances over four different shows. Our story.

Last but not least, Jim Davidson has been arrested and bailed following further allegations about his sexual conduct. Make your own jokes.
