BBC2 sitcom Hebburn might not be back on our screens until the autumn – but North East comedy fans were treated to a barnstorming ‘reunion show’ on Monday night.

Creator Jason Cook, comedian Chris Ramsey and actor Neil Grainger were the latest guests on Steffen Peddie’s monthly chat show at the Newcastle Stand.

And our pals at the Shields Gazette caught up with the boys to talk about the show’s success, their Best Drama win at the North East RTS Awards and season two of Hebburn, which begins filming this August.

Speaking after the show, Cook said: “There’s going to be two new characters.

“One of the characters is going to change profession, one of the characters will have a mountain to climb, and in the Christmas special you’ll find out what Winnie did.”
