Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are being reunited in a new comedy for the BBC.

Reeves and Mortimer last worked together on the C4 pilot Lucky Sexy Winners after their panel show Shooting Stars was controversially axed by the BBC in 2011.

Mortimer confirmed on Twitter that the pair were rehearsing a new sitcom provisionally called Fuck This House – but the BBC have confirmed the show will be called Vic And Bob’s House Of Fools.

Former Shooting Stars sidekick Dan Skinner, Matt Berry, Morgana Robinson, Pramface actor Dylan Edwards and Norwegian stand-up comedian Daniel Simonsen are also involved.

Simonsen will play Bob’s Norwegian son, Erik, who shares a flat with Bob and Vic. Their landlady, Julie, is played by Morgana Robinson.

The BBC blurb reads: “Amidst this chaos, Bob is trying to organise his first date in over six months. Will he be able to get a grip on his new lady friend – or will he be scuppered by the obstacles which keep, literally, blocking his way?”

Reeves and Mortimer’s last sitcom project was Catterick, which was not renewed after its first, six-part series in 2004.

However Reeves – real name Jim Moir – did work on BBC2’s hit sitcom Hebburn last year alongside Gina McKee, Chris Ramsey and Jason Cook.

Filming for season two of Hebburn begins in the summer.
