Insert Name Here to return
BBC Two is to air a second series of comedy panel show Insert Name Here.
The show, starring Sue Perkins, Richard Osman and Josh Widdicombe, has been re-commissioned by BBC Entertainment following a successful first series earlier this year.
Each episode is built around one particular name and the numerous people, past and present, that have shared it. It averaged an audience of one million viewers per episode.
The 6×30 series was commissioned by Controller of Television Channels and BBC iPlayer, Charlotte Moore, Acting Controller, BBC Entertainment Commissioning Alan Tyler and the Commissioning Editor is Jo Street. It is executive produced by Paul McGettigan.
Sue Perkins says: “I’m absolutely delighted to be back with Richard and Josh – it’s fast, funny and fiercely competitive, and all without the use of meldonium.”
Alan Tyler, Acting Controller of BBC Entertainment Commissioning, says: “Sue, Richard and Josh are three names we are thrilled to be bringing to our audiences in a second series of Insert Name Here.
“The first run brilliantly married humour and insight, and I’m looking forward to more of the same, with some inventive new twists, in this series.”
Andy Culpin, Managing Director 12 Yard, says: “We are delighted to be working with such talented people as Sue, Richard and Josh once again, and building on what was a hugely entertaining first series.”
