Daniel Kitson announces Newcastle show

Daniel Kitson has announced a work in progress show at The Stand Newcastle in March.

Tickets for the show on Monday 28 March are £5 and will go on sale at 12pm on Monday 18 January via The Stand’s website only.

Kitson said: “Over the next few months I’m going to be doing a variety of very low key, work in progress, stand up shows. A mixture of compering bills and some interminable rambles that I’ll undertake alone. It’s all part of me trying to work out how to replace the Hob (a pub in south London) when at this very, very early stage of developing new stand-up comedy.

“I am doing one show at each of the three Stand comedy clubs (Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow). These ones will be just me, banging on and on and on with no shape or structure of thematic conceit and certainly, one imagines, without any jokes. Tickets will be a fiver, there may or may not be an interval.”

Doors open at 11pm, with the show scheduled to run 11.30pm – 1.45am.
