Inside No. 9 to return for third series

Anthology series Inside No. 9 is to return for a third series.

Co-writer and star Reece Shearsmith confirmed on Twitter today that the series will be back for another installment.

The British Comedy Guide reported earlier this month that new episodes of the macabre comedy show, from League of Gentleman and Psychoville creators Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, had already been written.

And Shearsmith said via the social media site: “This is rumour control – here are the facts. We are indeed making a third series of Inside No 9. Steve and I have written the new series.”

Work on the new series is thought to be due to begin later this year.
