The Frog and Bucket comedy club are to hold a charity fundraiser this month in aid of Armed Forces Day.

On Wednesday 20 May 2015 the Preston club will host the show in their Guild Foyer bar, with all proceeds going towards supporting the city’s Armed Forces Day on 27 June.

The fundraiser will see Freddy Quinn host alongside Tom Short, Clayton Jones, Andy Watson and former Royal Navy member Adam Rushton.

Frog and Bucket manager Jessica Toomey said: “We are delighted to be supporting Armed Forces Day in Preston; it’s a cause very close to our hearts and we’re honoured to be part of the celebration and remembrance of past and currently serving military. We recently lost our Prestonian doorman John White to cancer; John loyally served in the army for many years so it’s nice to be able to further remember him.

“It’s been a further joy being able to hand select some great acts for the show. As well as the best new talent to emerge from Preston, I have also hand selected some great new talent making waves in the Northwest as well as ex-military comics and established national comics. I just couldn’t decide on four acts so thought let’s just spoil them with five. Comedy nights are always great, as you’re not just warmed by how good it feels to give, but by having a good laugh and being entertained, everyone’s a winner. ”
