Phil Buckley goes in search of a big idea

Comic Phil Buckley is embarking on a tour of the country in search of the next truly great idea.

Last year by chance Phil met Jack Andraka, a teenage boy who may have changed the world.

At the age of fifteen, Jack has done what scientists with millions of dollars worth of research at their disposal have failed to do: he invented a dipstick-type sensor to detect pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancer.

Phil is thirty four and has never had a remotely good idea in his life.

Phil has decided to turn his life around and make his mark on the world. Examining what’s needed to make a truly great idea, Phil will look for the next great idea and share it with the world. Observe as Phil Buckley tries to turn himself from an idiot to a genius by unorthodox methods.

Buckley will kick off his Big Idea tour at the Leicester Square Theatre on 30 April, and will be stopping at Salford’s The Lowry on 7 June.

During his internationally-ranging career, Buckley has supported Stephen K Amos, been a guest on Reginald D Hunter shows, and is a permanent support act for The Boy With Tape On His Face.

Buckley was also a finalist in City Life Comedian of the Year, and The Frog & Bucket’s Beat the Frog World Series. His previous show Jokes Not Included was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Buxton Festival Fringe.
