Alternative comedy hero Tony Law has added a new North East date to his 2015 stand-up tour.

The Canadian stand-up will perform his new show, Enter The Tonezone, at The Witham in Barnard Castle on Saturday 28 February.

The show, which attracted rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe, feature “magical shapes, an original song, some truly heart-breaking nonsense and will briefly tackle world issues through the medium of dance”. In the end we’ll realise it’s a bit about the fear of death.

Peter Dixon, of organisers Funny Way To Be Comedy Club, said: “I saw Tony perform this show at last summer’s Edinburgh Festival and was blown away. His charismatic performance electrifies a room and really drags you into the Tonezone. This show will sell out so make sure you get your tickets today.”

Law comes to Barnard Castle as part of Funny Way To Be Comedy Club’s blockbuster comedy programme at The Witham.

The Canadian joins the likes of Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Alex Edelman, podcast legend Ray Peacock, award-winner Ahir Shah, one-liner comic Gary Delaney and Hebburn creator Jason Cook in the market town over the coming months.

Tickets for Tony Law: Enter The Tonezone are on sale now from funnywaytobe.com, priced £12.
