Almost Royal gets a second series
BBC America’s Almost Royal will return for a second series next year, according to reports.
A story on the comedy website Chortle states that production on the mockumentary series, starring Ed Gamble and Amy Hoggart, resumed in Miami last week, with the comedians reprising their roles as distant members of the royal family.
Almost Royal aired on E4 in the UK earlier this year, attracting an average of 264,000 viewers per episode, a 1.34 per cent audience share in its Sunday 10pm timeslot.
Series two resumed with Gamble and Hoggart visiting a Florida beauty pageant and a dating coach, who said on Twitter that he was honoured to have been ‘completely and utterly pranked’ by the two comedians.
