A new comedy magazine is looking for Kickstarter support to get off the ground.

Have you ever wanted to read a magazine that is serious about comedy? Of course you have, you’re a good person after all.

New comedy magazine Stand and Deliver is calling for people to support its Kickstarter campaign to fund issue #1.

The magazine focuses on comedy but, we’re told, also has links with culture, food, science, politics and religion.

Each issue will be designed like a comedy show, with the cover comedian being the headline act and the other interviews and profiles as support acts.

The cover comedian will also influence the design of the issue and will input on icons, headlines, custom typefaces and more.

Danielle Gilbert, who launched the Kickstarter, says that Stand and Deliver is a grown-up conversation with the men and women of comedy about how and why they make us laugh.

“With your help, we’re hoping to explore the possibilities of print, offering readers an intelligent, alternative view of comedy.”

So far, the Kickstarter has raised £832, with 24 days left to reach Stand and Deliver‘s target of £2500.
