Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman are planning a live tour of their BBC One gameshow, Pointless.

Osman, who created the popular teatime quiz, revealed the news today after asking his Twitter followers what they thought of the idea.

The Pointless co-host then tweeted: “Ok, @XanderArmstrong and I will start looking into a live tour of #Pointless. #lockupyourmothers”

Comedian Rufus Hound has already voiced his desire to appear on the tour, which would see Osman and Armstrong hit the road with a live version of the show.

Osman also confirmed that he, Armstrong and series producer John Ryan had discussed the possibility of taking Pointless to next year’s Glastonbury Festival.

He wrote: “Lovely lunch @HawksmoorLondon with @XanderArmstrong and @johnericryan, we decided that we should do #Pointless at #Glastonbury next year.”

Osman has worked as executive producer on a number of comedy shows, including 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and 10 O’Clock Live.

He currently works as a creative director for Endemol, who produce Pointless.
