Bobby Ball and the Parish Hall

Bobby Ball is to make a surprise appearance in the North East later this month – to talk about his relationship with God.
The comedian, one half of double-act Cannon and Ball, is coming to the Parish Hall in Barnard Castle on Saturday 28 September to share how God has changed his life.
Billed as “an exciting evening with lots of humour”, the event has been organised by the local Christian Fellowship.
Ball is expected to speak about how his life changed in 1985, when he was drinking heavily and getting into fights.
He converted to Christianity the following year after his friendship with partner Tommy Cannon broke down.
Cannon himself is a born-again Christian.
Together the double-act published a book called Christianity for Beginners, and both tour ‘An Audience With…’ shows about their faith.
Tickets for the Barnard Castle event are £5 (£2.50 for under 16s) and available at Curlews on Market Place, or by calling 01833 637035.
The show begins at 7pm.
