Robin Ince announces UK ‘mini-tour’ – alongside Josie Long
Robin Ince has announced a mini-tour of the UK – alongside comedy pal Josie Long.
The pair, who work together on Comedy Central’s Utter Shambles podcast, will hit the road on Monday 2 September with a tour called Robin and Josie’s Shambles.
Ince and Long will play the Newcastle Stand on 3 September, ahead of northern dates in Liverpool and Southport before the turn of the year.
All in all, 14 shows have been penciled in today.
Ince said: “This show will mix up brand new solo material from myself and Josie, as well as extracts from the Dirty Book Club, the follow up to my Bad Book Club show.”
“And of course, some mucking about and nonsense together on stage.”
Folk singer-songwriter Grace Petrie will join them for some shows, Ince confirmed.
In a review last year, Giggle Beats said that Petrie “tells tales of love and anger, twisted with clever wordplay into punchy songs, and delivered in a beautiful voice with the perfect mix of fragility and power.”
