Sketch shows; they’re a genre within a genre. Don’t know your Dead Parrots from your Local Shops? Worry not, because sketch shows at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe are as varied as the fudge flavours on the Royal Mile. From the deliciously dark to the deliriously silly, there’s a sketch show to suit all tastes. So if you fancy a break from a lonely comic moaning in a dark room, here’s five top sketch shows to take in at the Fringe.

Daphne Do Edinburgh

Daphne are a brand new sketch trio, who are Phil Wang, Jason Forbes and George Fouracres. The group has appeared in various incarnations on Channel 4; BBCs One, Two and Three; and BBC Radio 4. Witness the wise wit of Wang, the flawless physicality of Forbes, and also George, in the group’s premiere hour.
