The line-up has been revealed for this year’s Jesterval Comedy Festival.

The Boy With Tape On His Face [pictured], Gavin Webster, Sara Pascoe, Jason Cook, Chris Ramsey, Lili La Scala, Kate Lucas, Jimmy Cricket, Andrew Maxwell and Paul Foot are the stand-out names in the programme, released online today.

Jesterval 2015 will again take place in a 300‐seater marquee on Baltic Square in Gateshead, with over 30 shows running from Friday 5 June until Sunday 14 June.

Hebburn creator Cook will be performing with his old co-star Ramsey on Saturday 6 June, while Catchphrase’s Roy Walker joins his son, fellow stand-up Phil Walker, the following day.

The BBC Children In Need Quiz will also return to open this year’s festival, and a ‘best of’ the BBC’s Jesting About scheme will take place on Friday 12 June.

Ticket prices for individual shows range from £5 to £13. However there will be a number of free shows from the likes of Jonny Pelham and Matt Reed.

Most tickets cost a fiver, with shows from Patrick Monahan, Daniel Sloss, Kai Humphries, Seymour Mace, Nicola Mantalios-Lovett, and Lost Voice Guy.

For those who like their comedy totally unscripted, there’s the Improv Comedy All Stars show on Saturday 13 June, featuring Steve Frost, Steve Steen, Andy Smart, and Ian Coppinger.

And there’s also family entertainment too, with kids’ shows and activities taking place on weekends, including Lee Kyle’s Gunge Show on Saturday 7 June.

2015 will be the third year at Baltic Square for the festival, which is organised by Della Haq and stand-up David Hadingham. Haq said: “It gets more and more exciting for us every year – we look forward to it as much as the performers and the visitors.”

“Comedy fans will be able to see some of the best comedy acts in the business from this iconic spot on the banks of the Tyne.

“Many of these shows will be previewing before heading up to the Edinburgh Festival – see them here in our backyard.”

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via seetickets.com. More information on the festival can be found on the Jesterval website.
