Matt Berry’s Toast of London gets a third series
Matt Berry’s Toast of London has been given a third series by Channel 4.
The news coincides with the end of the sitcom’s second series tonight.
Channel 4’s Head of Comedy, Phil Clarke, said: “Channel 4 has always backed original comedy, the type of shows you wouldn’t find anywhere else, and Toast of London represents a significant new chapter in that story, and in our comedy heritage.”
The show, co-written by Berry and Father Ted’s Arthur Mathews, leads the nominations at this month’s British Comedy Awards, with six nominations including best sitcom, best new comedy programme and best comedy moment of the year.
