Tim Renkow has been named the winner of the Amused Moose talent search.

The show, hosted by Holly Walsh at Symposium Hall in Edinburgh, got off to a slightly late start after a technical issue which led to two of the finalists being temporarily trapped in a lift. Luckily they proved their worth and performed brilliantly – both earning a spot in the top three.

Runners up Archie Maddocks and Don Tran, as well as today’s winner Renkow, will feature in the Amused Moose Comedy Awards Showcases at London’s Soho Theatre this Autumn. These shows will also include the winner of the Amused Moose Laughter Award 2014 which takes place during the Edinburgh Fringe on Sunday 17August.

Renkow joins previous winners who include Sarah Millican and Jack Whitehall in the Amused Moose Laugh Off Hall of Fame, taking away £1500 prize money and a shiny moose trophy.

He performs his solo show ‘At least Hell has Ramps’ at Heroes @ The Hives until 24 August.

The other finalists were Kiri Pritchard McLean, Penella Mellor, Rob Auton, Brennan Reece.
