After a frankly tip-top performance at Stockton ARC in March, stand-up Mat Reed is bringing his solo show to Tyneside later this month.

Mat’s latest solo show, Gincredible, comes to The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on Monday 30 June.

The Sunderland-born comedian has been a regular fixture at The Stand since it opened way back in 2011, but this will be his first solo show at the High Bridge venue.

Speaking ahead of the show, he told Giggle Beats: “I’ve had some of my best gigs at The Stand’s regular nights, so the idea of doing my own show there seemed like an obvious thing to do.

“It’s an opportunity for a good old chat and lots of interaction; I want people to know that, when they leave, that is the only time they could have seen what they had just seen.

“I have a fascinating and very creepy story to tell about something that happened to me  – I lost about four years of my life because I fell for the wrong person entirely. There’s something for everyone.”
