Jesterval 2014: more big names added to the line-up
More big names have been added to the line-up for this year’s Jesterval Comedy Festival.
The North East’s biggest comedy festival is back at Baltic Square in Gateshead for nine days this summer, starting on Friday 6 June.
The likes of Jason Manford, Marcus Brigstocke, Tony Law, Simon Munnery and Zoe Lyons have already been signed up for Jesterval.
And Canadian trio Stewart Francis, Glenn Wool and Craig Campbell have now confirmed they’ll play the festival on Monday 9 June as part of their Lumberjacks tour.
Australian stand-up Brendon Burns will also be joining in the fun, bringing The Brendon Burns Show to Tyneside on Sunday 8 June.
And organisers have confirmed new shows from an array of North East talent including Gavin Webster (6 June), Mike Milligan (7 June), Lee Kyle (7 June) and Funny Team! (8 June), a new sketch group consisting of Kyle, Matt Reed, Nicola Mantalios-Lovett, Sammy Dobson and Catherine Scott.
Organiser Della Haq said: “The aim is to try and build on the success of last year’s occasion and make it bigger, better and even more successful than previous years.
“Although it does get harder we feel the 2014 Jesterval will be our best yet.”
Tickets are on sale now, with ticket prices ranging from £5 to £22.50.
