Steffen Peddie is to star in a film written by legendary graphic novelist Alan Moore.

The Geordie comedian has landed a role in His Heavy Heart, the final installment of Moore and Mitch Jenkins’ Kickstarter short film series, Jimmy’s End.

Peddie will play a character called Aphopsis, though little else is known about the role at present.

Moore, writer of Watchmen, V for Vendetta and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, said the Jimmy’s End films try to mirror culture in every way.

He said: “We have a world in which the music, television shows, computer games, the technology, fashion – everything has been created from a whole plot.

“It is probably the most richly detailed world I have ever been involved in the creation of.”

Shooting on His Heavy Heart started in Northampton last weekend, with supporters receiving casting images and teaser photos via the film’s Kickstarter page.
