Sketch group Jolly Mixtures are hoping to bring a MIXTURE of JOLLY sketches, characters, songs and silliness when they arrive on Tyneside this week.

The troupe contains Rob Gilroy, Graham Oakes, Amy Gledhill and Nicola Redman (pictured), each with a strong background in stand-up, sketch and character comedy.

And on Wednesday 4 December they’ll be bringing their comedy talents to The Cluny 2 for their first solo show in Newcastle, the city where Graham and Rob developed their stand-up skills.

For the past eight months Jolly Mixtures have performed monthly shows in Bradford, writing new material for every show.

Between the four members they have written material for The Now Show, The News Quiz, Dave Gorman’s Pub Olympics and The Headset Set.

They have also been finalists in several national stand-up competitions, including Amused Moose, Funny Women, Laughing Horse New Act, Hilarity Bites and So You Think You’re Funny.

Jolly Mixtures come to The Cluny 2, Newcastle, on Wednesday 4 December. Tickets are available on the door priced £5, and the show starts at 8.30pm.
